Advocacy Support Cymru (ASC): Service Provision Update

Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) & IMCA Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs)

As from 1st June 2024 ASC is providing these services within the Hywel Dda and Swansea Bay University Health Board areas.

Advocacy Support Cymru (ASC) is a registered charity specialising in the provision of professional, confidential and independent advocacy for those eligible for our services.

Our Advocates can provide issue-specific support, inform you about your rights and help you explore options in order that your views and wishes are considered when decisions are made about you.

Advocates will not give advice, offer counselling, provide mediation or befriend. They will not judge the wishes of those they support or look to seek to persuade a client into a particular course of action.

Advocates provide information to people to help them understand what options might be available, but do not decide or advise which one to take.

Opening Hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday. 9am-4:30pm Friday. CLOSED Sunday.
