Advocacy Support Cymru supports Terracycle recycling project: Update 2026
Update (from November 2024): We no longer accept crisp packets and wrappers. TerraCycle closed the scheme.
However we do accept empty Pringles tubes and low-density polyethylene (LDPE4) plastic bread bags. 4 identifies the recycling code.
(With thanks to the gentleman who visited ASC and prompted this further update)
Advocacy Support Cymru is delighted to continue assisting in the push to recycle the unrecyclable.
TerraCycle offers free recycling programmes funded by brands, manufacturers and retailers around the world to help organisations or individuals collect and recycle hard-to-recycle waste.
Advocacy Support Cymru is now a drop off point for empty Pringles tubes and LDPE4 bread bags only.
We welcome anyone who wishes to support the drive to recycle hard to dispose of waste to drop off their items here at our offices in St Mellons, Cardiff. We will then package it up and send it on in bulk to Terracycle, whilst as a charity benefitting from a small donation ourselves. You might be an ecologically conscious individual who wants to do your bit or a representative of a company, small or large, who despairs of the amount of waste generated every day going in colleagues’ waste bins.
Whichever you are, it’s a win-win. Contact info@ascymru.org.uk if you want to find out more.
